Our dedicated fans have confirmed that they will not be deterred by the arduous task of navigating the road to Douala to mark the club’s debut in the prestigious CAF Champions League preliminary round.
We will take on the Champions of Ghana in a two legged tie later this month. They will host FC Samartez 1996 for the first leg on August 18th and the return leg on the 25th of August in Ghana.
The Confederation of African Football, CAF did not approve of the 20,000- capacity Limbe Omnisport Stadium facility.
However, thousands of our fans are expected to troop out to show their unwavering support and enthusiasm as the club prepares to compete in the competition.
” We are not just representing Limbe, we are representing Southwest and the entire country. We need the support of all football fans and stakeholders in Cameroon to be in Douala for our victory,’ said Mama Opopo.
” We are preparing diligently to ensure we progress. Our players must take this game seriously from the onset. No team is weaker. They should be committed until the final hurdles,’ Michael said.
“Only a few years ago, we could never hope to even get to this stage, but now we are there. I believe we’ll go through,” Elvis noted.
Our fairytale campaign saw us clinch the 2023/2024 MTN Elite One Championship.
