Victoria United FC have stepped up several gears ahead of their maiden campaign in the prestigious CAF Champions League.

Opopo will take on Ghanaian powerhouse FC Samartez 1996 in a two-legged preliminary tie this month. They will host the Timbers on August 18 for the first leg and travel to Accra in the return fixture.

Club officials and tactician told the local media this week that they are doing everything possible to be ready to beat FC Samartez.

The Limbe-based giants are determined to cause an upset by kicking the Samreboi-based club out of the tournament.

President Nkwain Valentine’s charges are dedicated to altering Cameroon’s story in the tournament and bringing back pride to the nation and fans of the club.

In preparation for the clash against FC Samartez, Opopo has organized multiple friendlies to assess the team’s strengths and weaknesses.

Victoria United are poised to represent Cameroon and make a resounding impact on the continent. Backed by the support of Cameroonians and the team’s preparedness, they are bound to make a significant statement.
