Football will be in its highest definition this weekend as clubs across the continent will begin their respective 2024/2025 CAF InterClub competition journey.

The reigning kings of Cameroon football will be gunning for maximum points when they face FC Samartez 1996 on Saturday, August 18, 2024, at the Japoma Stadium in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The Limbe based outfit have been training hard since the fixture was announced as they hope to kick-start their campaign on a positive note.

Coach David Nganbe’s squad is overflowing with sparkling creative talent. The young team won the title by playing exciting, attractive football last season. When you infuse that with the brand of organization, work rate and focus displayed during pre-season friendly matches, you can make an argument for the team being stronger than they were last season.

CAF organisers have announced that the winner of the tie will face either ASGNN of Niger or Morrocan giants Raja Club Athletic in the second round in September.
