Victoria United El Supremo Nkwain Valentine has explained the reason behind his team’s 0-1 defeat to FC Samartez in their CAF Interclub maiden appearance.

Emmanuel Mamah goal separated both sides at the Japoma Stadium on Sunday.

Addressing the media, President Nkwain said his team was compelled to alter their game plan after they were informed that some of the players listed for the contest haven’t been fully registered for the continental competition.

I was told by the Match Commissioner that some of our players listed for the game haven’t been fully registered.

This forced us to change the game plan as we had to do with just 13 players.

‘ This is not of our making. We keep working hard as usual,’ he noted.

The president switched his attention to the return fixture.

” We shall approach the return leg like we did in the first leg,’ he stated.

The return leg shall be played in Accra on August 25.
