OPOPO Return To Training Ahead Of Pre-Season Tour In Asia

Victoria United Football Clube are set to return for tactical training for the 19th day of pre-season on Monday 31st August/ 2023

Just over two months after securing a historic return to the MTN Elite One championship, the first team was back at the training centre in Bojongo to prepare for the upcoming season 2023/2024.

The champions of the just-ended MTN Elite Two started their pre-season campaign on the 10th of July with some new faces in camp. Twelve of the first-team players were retained and some 26 were pre-selected to take a total of 38 players in camp at the club's headquarters in Ngeme Limbe.
The pre-season preparation is expected to last for 11 weeks. The technical staff will work on the players' physical aspect for six weeks, and five weeks will be concentrated on tactical preparation.

During this period, the team is expected to play some friendly matches against top-flight teams of the first division before travelling to Asia for a pre-season tour in Qatar in the month of September 2023 and the team will return back to Cameroon to continue preparation for the new football season

The league is expected to start on the 30th of September 2023
